POC Peter D. Goodwin 212-264-6707. SUBJECT: Construction of an earthen
levee includes excavation, backfill and seeding. Interior drainage
facilities with pumping chamber, cast in place and prefabricated
concrete elements, submersible pumps, gates, valves, water surface
sensors, electrical and telephone lines, control panel, chain link
fencing, drainage ditches, piping, AD gates, catch basins, control
manholes and headwalls. Environmental mitigation includes the
excavation of depressions and replanting vegetation. Diversion of water
and protection and maintenance of traffic is also required. Labor cost
will be in accordance with the Department of Labor wage determination
general decision numbered NJ990003. The Government will award a firm
fixed price contract for this solicitation. The bids will be evaluated
on the lowest price responsible bidder. This solicitation is
unrestricted and the range is from $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00
dollars. The project is expected to be completed within 366 days from
notice to proceed. Plans and Specifications will be available on or
about October 12 1999. Bid in date is November 16 1999 at 2:00 PM.
There is a non refundable charge of $35.00 dollars for the plans and
