This market survey is to locate sources of supply for the acquisition of commercially available Hi-8mm or 8mm video tape cassette airborne video tape recorder (AVTR) with the following characteristics: Front loading tape cassette, MIL-STD-704 115 VAC/28VDC 400Hz aircraft power compatible, minimum 2 hour recording length, capability to convert special 875 line video input signal to record standard 525 line video signal and back, two channel audio, ruggedized & environmentally sealed for severe military environments, maximum physical dimensions not to exceed 166mm(H) x 367.5mm(D) x 271.8mm(W), remote controlled, 8mm cassette tape must be compatible with inexpensive commercial VCR's for ground playback, and form-fit-function replacement to the TEAC V-1000AB-F for aircraft interface including existing mount to the US ARMY AH-64A Helicopter.
