34 -- TORCH OUTFIT CUTTING AND WELDING SOL SP049000R0248 DUE 111099 POC Charmaine Camper/CK953/P:(804)279-3341/F:(804)279-5017 PR YPG99250002341, NSN 3433-00-555-5120, Torch Outfit Cutting and Welding, used for submarine welding and cutting hoses furnished IAW ZZ-H-461 shall be the exact length cited in the contract. Goggles shall be shade 6. Exception to CID A-A-55826: Table II size 2 drill size 67 in lieu of 66. Exception to CID A-A-50022B: Para 3.2.1. fourth sentence color requirement of light gray is not required. The size 6 welding tip shall be secured within the box to alleviate damage cutsheet for NSN 3433-00-555-5120 outfit, welding & cutting, dated 2 Oct 87; 1. Welding and cutting outfit, oxyacetylene, protable, consisting of the following (A)One storage case and cylinder cradle (B)One single stage oxygen regulator with a cylinder pressure gauge, a working pressure gauge, and a repair seat, (C)One single stage acetylene regulator with a cylinder pressure gauge, a working pressure gauge, and a repair seat, (D)Three adapters to adapt the compressed gas association (CGA) cylinders to MC regulators, 1 for a commercialacetylene cylinder (CGA-300-CGA-200), 1 for POL acetylene cylinder (CGA-510-CGA-200), (E) One type 1 cutting torch with a complete set of cutting tips in accordance with CID A-A-55826, (F)One welding torch with a complete set of welding nozzles in accordance with CID A-A-55826, (G) Wrenches required to connect, disconnect the hose, gauges, and regulators, (H) One double-end acetylene wrench with a connecting chain, (I)Ten foot hose assembly, (J) Twenty-five foot hose assembly, (K)One each oxygen and acetylene hose coupler, (L) One friction igniter with minimum of ten extra flints, (M)One set tip cleaners, (N)One pair goggles, (O)One pair gloves; 2. The construction of the storage case shall be in accordance with buship DWG S9200-1464110 with the following exceptions: (A)Deviations are permitted if appearance, function, strength and quality are not impaired, (B)The maximum height may be 32 inches, (C)The case, interior and exterior, and the carrying cradle shall be painted with two (2) coats of gray paint in accordance with military specification MIL-E-24635, color no 26270, (D)The case shall be stencilled, on the front near the top with 1 inch letters with "SUBMARINE WELDING AND CUTTING OUTFIT", (E)The carrying cradle shall be modified to accept a 40 cubic foot capacity acetylene cylinder stated in MIL-C-3701B and AMD 1, and A 48 cubic foot capacity oxygen cylinder stated in RR-C-901C; 3.The oxygen and acetylene regulators shall be in accordance with MIL-R-13877D, Type II single-stage oxygen regulator and Type I single-stage acetylene regulator, both regulators shall be supplied with a repair seat, origin inspection required; 4.The double-end acetylene wrench shall be supplied with a chain to connect it to the acetylene cylinder valve, the chain shall be of adequate length to permit easy operation of the wrench, also, the chain shall be designed to be attached and detached to the cylinder valve; 5.The hose assemblies shall be in accordance with RMA IP-7 3/16 inch, ID, color red for acetylene and green for oxygen, the hose assemblies shall be provided with straight hose connection glands and nuts in accordance with MIL STD MS 15011, Rev B; 6.The oxygen and acetylene hose couplers shall be in accordance with MIL STD MS15011, Rev B; 7.The friction igniter and additional flints shall be a commercial standard; 8.The tip cleaner shall be a commercial standard; 9.The goggles shall conform to CID A-A-1813 Type I Class 2; 10.The gloves shall be in accordance with CID A-A-50022 size large; 11.The instruction material shall consists of the following: (A)1 safety manual, (B) 1 Operational manual, (C)1 rapid instruction chart. The safety and operational manuals shall be sealed in a waterproof envelope and the rapid instruction shall be laminated in a clear plastic material that is waterproof. The rapid instuction shall be a visual step-by-step guideline describing the assembly and lighting procedures of the torch outfit; 12.Individual components covered by military or federal specifications shall be inspected and accepted in themanner specified in the specification of the issue in effect on date of request for proposal; 13.Prior to final acceptance the contractor shall demonstrate the cutting outfit is functionally adequate by successfully accomplishing the following tests to (1)one sample outfit: (A)Stowing all items provided as kit in storing case with lid closed and latched,(B)Assembling the outfit, (C)Igniting the torch, NOTE: Acetylene and oxygen cylinder are not to be supplied with the outfit. This is a critical item. Quantity of 95 each. FOB Destination and Inspection/Acceptance Origin. In accordance with QAP 022. Ship to address is Tracy, CA. Delivery 150 Days ARO. Includes 100% Quantity Option. Note 9 applies. Drawing, interim procurement description and deviation lists may be examined or obtained from Defense Supply Center Richmond. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Note 1 applies.
