(6) six each of Power Meters with GPIB 488 Interface, Model Number 4421, and 2. (6)six each of Power Sensors, Model Number 4022, and 3. (5) five each of 1KW Dummy Loads, Model Number 8251. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Bird Electronics Corporation, 30303 Aurora Rd., Solon, OH 44139. The justification for other than full and open competition in the purchasing of these items is based upon the fact that they must interface with NASA/WFF developed in-house software. This software is proprietary to Bird Electronics Corporation. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have fifteen (15)days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities willbe used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code and Small Business Size Standard for this procurement are 3825 and 500, respectively.
