NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers to provide labor, equipment and materials to design, install, and test a new hydraulically calculated automatic fire sprinkler and alarm system in Building N213. Tasks include but are not limited to: installation of required sprinkler flow alarms, overhead piping, replacement of existing obsolete fire alarm control panel, smoke detectors, and underground water main to Building N213. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 341 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and shall be advertised under Full and Open Competition. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about October 21, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about November 23, 1999.
