provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, transportation and
supervision necessary to complete floating dock modifications and
incidental related work located at USCG Station Fire Island, Babylon,
NY (Suffolk County). The project consists of relocation and
modification of three (3) existing concrete floating docks within the
boat basin. Project requires removal and reinstallation of four (4)
existing steel pipe piles and installation of six (6) new steel pipe
piles. Existing and new piles to be filled with concrete Project also
requires relocation of existing electrical shoreties and gangways.
Floating work platform and pile driving is required. The Coast Guard
has applied for the required DEC and ACOE approvals. Permits will be
incorporated into the contract. The period of performance is 45
calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. MARINE EXPERIENCE
IS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS WORK. Estimated cost range is between
$25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation will be available on or about 18
October 1999, for a nonrefundable charge. Checks or money orders should
