E-MAIL: Click here to contact the Contract Specialist, dkennedy@redriver-ex.army.mil. Red River Army Depot has a requirement for Strip Stock Rubber for use in its track shoe rebuild program. This solicitation will result in a requirements type contract for the use of Red River Army Depot only. The estimated quantity is 195,000 pounds. No quantities are guaranteed. Period of this contract is 12 months from date of award. The rubber will be provided in strip stock form (1.5 to 1.75" wide and .25" to .3125 " thick). The material will be produced in accordance with compound formulation RMT-TP/TS, which will be provided by Red River Army Depot (RRAD), and must conform to Control Plan for MIL-T-11891E (AT). RRAD owns the formulation and desires to control access to the extent possible. The formulation will be released to prospective vendors only after receipt of a signed Standard Non-availability Agreement. Vendors not providing the signed nondisclosure form will not be provided the formula. Bid samples are required. Vendors must submit a quantity of 150 pounds of the formulation, in proper strip size, for sample testing. Sample testing will consist of physical properties, TGA, and adhesion tests on a pad insert and track shoe. Samples must be provided in the proper formulation and in the proper size prior to the date set for receipt of proposals. Vendors having successfully provided this formulation to RRAD previously may request a waiver to the bid sample requirement. Waivers are not automatic and must be requested in writing. Submit requests for waivers to the Contracting Officer. Only proposals whose samples have successfully completed the sample testing will be considered for an award.
