CONTRACTING, godwinp@spawar.navy.mil. Engineering services to assist in
the transfer and/or development of technologies in support of Counter
Terrorism (CT) initiatives. Place of performance includes contractor's
facility and Government sites as directed by individual task orders.
Engineering services are in support of Department of Defense (DOD) and
Department of Justice (DOJ) CT needs. Requirements are a continuation
of the DOD/DOJ Joint Program Steering Group (JPSG) efforts focusing on
identifying emerging and appropriate DOD and commercial technologies,
and the transfer, insertion, and demonstration of these technologies in
state and local Law Enforcement (LE) settings. The service provider
must have extensive experience with JPSG initiatives and focus.
Required services include research, investigation, and analysis and
documentation in support of advanced and emerging technology insertion
that leverages Department of Defense (DOD), academia, and private
industry. Applications include Body Armor, Bio-Sanitation, and
anti-terrorism in areas such as explosive detection, vehicle
protection, vehicle tracking, and better methods of intelligence
gathering. Approximately 1650 man-hours per year, plus materials and
travel are anticipated. The anticipated labor category is Senior
Systems Integration Engineer. This is a sole source requirement to
Ideal Innovations, Inc., Arlington, VA. This is not a request for
