66 -- REPAIR AND REFURBISHMENT OF TWELVE THOUSAND FOOT CEILOMETERS SOL 52-SPNA-0-00001 DUE 101599 POC Donald M. Thompson, Contracting Officer (301) 713-3478 17 -- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Systems Acquisition Office has a requirement for the repair and refurbishment of twelve thousand foot ceilometers originally purchased from Vaisala Inc. CT-12K (Part Number 70-2707). The total requirement shall be an indefinite quantity, with a known requirement to refurbish a minimum five ceilometers per month. Failure to meet this monthly deliver schedule shall result in liquidated damages being assessed. The refurbishment requirement consists of the following activities: Refurbish-Clean and inspect for defective parts or subassemblies that need repair, replacement or repainting; a quote, inspection form, and diagnostic printout are required to be furnished to the Government prior to completion of any work; Rework Equipment Base: a. Remove output interface connector J3 and main power connector J1. b. Install cover plate over vacant J3 port. c. Rework J1 connector port to accept conduit when returned to field. d. Install mounting fixture for the fiber optic modem. e. Install terminal block for AC mains and heater power; All units are to be optically aligned, reassembled, thoroughly tested for proper operation. Remover output interface board and associated wiring harness. Rewire high voltage power supply to control heater operation in the window conditioner and associated wiring harness. Install ASOS version 2.46 software in the processor board and install the 80C31BH processor. Install fiber optic modem (supplied by the Government), feed-through card, and control cable. In addition a purchase of 300 each ceilometer pedestals shall be included in this proposed contract at a ceiling price per unit for a quantity of 200 each and 100 each at a price per unit. Shipping is separately priced. The Government will evaluate past performance and price.
