ls59u@nih.gov. The Texas A&M Research Foundation is seeking sources to
provide testicular tissue specimens and related information in
accordance with the following specifications. (1) Specimens taken
within 15 hours of death and preserved as wet tissue or as tissue
blocks from at least 750 men of whom 250-375 should have died from
accidental or sudden causes more than 10 years ago and averaging 14 or
more years ago (the more remote the better) and 375-500 should have
died from similar causes recently. (2) Weights of the testes from which
specimens were obtained. (3) Information on the deceased men from whom
specimens were taken. This information should include as much as
possible of the following: date of birth, date of accident or onset of
condition leading to death, time of accident or onset of condition
leading to death, date of death, time of death, date of specimen
collection, time of specimen collection, cause of death, geographic
location at death, place of residence at death, race, height, weight,
medicalhistory, occupation, smoking history, results of blood alcohol
and medication and toxicology screens, and evidence of disease noted at
autopsy. All sources which can provide (1) and (3) will be considered,
although those which can provide (2) as well are preferred. Any source
who thinks they have the qualifications and can meet the requirements
set forth above should prepare a short Capability Statement. These
