S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATGE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO LEASE 5 VEHICLES. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Pacific Alaska Leasing Company (PALCO). Purpose of contract is to lease five (5) vehicles for one year, with an option for an additional year. Remaining vehicles number less than ten (10) and will be will be leased until current lease expires. Vehicles are currently under lease under an expiring contract and are located at remote locations in Alaska. NOAA/NMFS currently paying rates which were negotiated in 1995 and no dealer can meet current contract prices including delivery to remote Alaskan locations at prices which are currently being paid.
