The period of performance for this contract will be for 1 year with 4 additional option years. The facility is a 15-year old one story building consisting of 57,000 square feet. Actual square footage of the building requiring cleaning maintenance is 46,000 square feet. Due to age, style, and type many materials and fixtures contained in this facility may no longer be available for replacement or correct matches. Therefore, cleaning operations for this contract shall be designed by the contractor in a manner to maintain/clean, and prolong the life of building materials and fixtures. Weather, foot traffic, or other conditions during certain times of the year, may demand additional effort to ensure that facilities are clean and maintained properly. The facility consists of administrative offices, service laboratories/work rooms, 6 restrooms, 3 conference rooms, and employee break area, reception areas, hallways, a utility room, foyers and entrances. As part of this contract, the Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, (except as specified-provided by the government), and equipment necessary to plan, schedule, coordinate and assure the effective and efficient cleaning operation of this building.
