The scope of this project involves (1)-Stop log gap in line with the levee with auger cast piles supporting a concrete pile cap and walls/abutment and aluminum stop logs. Will also include stop log rack. (1)-78" RCP drainage structure to traverse the levee with a concrete gatewell structure and sluice gate, 14,200 feet of earthen levee/berm comprised of 1,375,000 compacted cubic yards of random material potentially obtainable from Missouri River sand dredging operations or hauled from a nearby hillside borrow area and 425,000 compacted cubic yards of impervious fill from land accessible borrow areas. The work also includes 3,500 tons of aggregate levee surfacing; and seeding and mulching the levee/berm slopes. Small Business firms are requested to submit letters of interest for this potential acquisition to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 760 Federal Building, 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Respondents are requested to submit no later than 21 October 1999.
