PLANS TO ISSUE AN AWARD IN SUPPORT OF THE U.S. NAVAL OBSERVATORY
(USNO) TO PROCURE 12 MONTHS OF MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR THE
ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMBER. Contractor will be expected to provide
preventive maintenance, repair, and emergency service, to maintain,
within manufacturing operating specifications, The environmental
chamber is located at the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington, D.c. The
environmental control sytem includes: air conditioning, heating,
humidifcation, and dehumidification equipment. The chambers were built
to have a control tolerance of +-0.15 deg. C and +1% relative
humidity. Major elements of the contract are to provide regular
preventive maintenance, and repair of the environmental USNO Time
service environmental chambers. Preventive maintenance will include
visual checks for damaged and/or worn components instrument checks,
(gauges) for refrigerant gas leasks and system stadard operating
pressures andtemperatures, and fan motor operation. Contractor must be
availabe for this work one work day per week (M-F), or 52 days per
year, but not less than 3 days in any month through out the year.
