Travis AFB in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to compete for services is seeking any Cable TV providers who may be interested in providing Cable TV services on Travis AFB CA. Currently there are aproximately 700 Offical Government Outlets which are restricted to obtaining the equivalent of "expanded basic" service. The base has aproximately 2500 housing residents and 1600 dormatory residents who may choose to subscribe or not subscribe to any and all services provided by a Cable TV providor. The Communications Act as ammended in 1996 allows for multiple agreements to be issued, however, any interested parties must be able to secure a Base Access Letter I.A.W. 50 U.S.C. 797, and a License to Use Real Property I.A.W. 10 U.S.C. 2668.
