The U.S. Department of Commerce intends to contract training services for the National Weather Service Training Center (NWSTC) in Kansas City, Missouri. The training is for up to six (6) WSR-88D Radar PUP (Principal user Position)Maintenance courses which will be taught at the NWSTC each fiscal year. Daniel Cowley of Vero Beach, Florida is the only known source of services for this training. The intended procurement is for services for which the Government intends to acquire from one source of supply under the authority of 41 USC253 (c) (1). This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR part 13. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to SSEC whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
