D -- PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE FOR RFP DAAH03-99-R-0026 MULTI-FUNCTION SERVICES AT REDSTONE ARSENAL, ALABAMA SOL DAAH03-99-R-0026 DUE 113099 POC (PCF)Gayle B. Ray, Contracting Officer, 256-876-4225, cicca@redstone.army.mil This Command has scheduled a pre-proposal conference to be held 28 October 1999 at the Sparkman Complex, Building 5309, Third Floor, Electronic Meeting (EMS) Facility, Redstone Arseanl, Alabama at 0900. Each firm desiring to attend should pre-register attendees by submitting names and telephone numbers via e-mail to cicca@redstone.army.mil, no later than 21 October 1999. Each firm is limited to three (3) attendees. All attendees must stop at the Redstone Arsenal gate to receive a visitor's car pass for entrance to the Arsenal. Pre-registered attendees shall pick-up their badges upon arrival in the lobby of the EMS Facility. This RFP is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing multi-function services under conract or by the government is more economical. If government performance is determined to be more econonmical, the RFP will be cancelled and no contract will be awarded. Multifunction Services include (1)Administrative Support Services to include the processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act information; operating installation Records Holding Area; process Modern Army Record-Keeping Systems (MARKS) inquiries, provide guidance, clarification, and assistance on MARKS issues, conduct MARKS formal training, and maintain customer self-inspection checklists; correspondence management; process customer requests for self-service office copiers; (2)Television (videography) to include the development of standard procedures for operation of the VTC facility and network, and for coordination among participating sites. (3)Electronic and Communication Equipment to include receiving and processing customer requests for installation of intercom systems, public address systems, non-tactical radio systems, and temporary audio systems. (4)Other Communications and Electronic Systems to include installation of secure and non-secure digital data communication and network systems.
