There are approx. 110 hectares of mine disturbance to be reclaimed. The project consists of demolition, removal and disposal of all structures, improvements, storage tanks, equipment and debris from the project site, as well as break up and burial of concrete, general regrading, recontouring, ripping, and topsoiling/revegetating disturbed areas, abandonment of three wells, removal of culverts, and re-establishment of drainages. Project also includes installation/construction of signs, fences, and surface water drainage, operation, closure and reclamation of a Class III landfill, and cleanup and disposal of hydrocontaminated soils. Required licenses and permits are the responsibility of the contractor. The project is located approx. 45 miles west of Ely, NV or east from Eureka for approx. 33 miles to the Green Springs/Belmont Road turnoff. Take this road approx. 7 miles to a fork, go right approx. 5 miles along the west side of the White Pine Range to the project site. Est. start date is 5/1/2000 with 180 calendar days for completion. The est. price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Due to weather conditions and not being able to get into the area at time of issuance of solicitation package in March, a presoliciation meeting/showing is scheduled for 10/27/99 at 11:00 a.m., local time.
