This project involves a complete upgrade of the HVAC systems for
Building Nos. 2 thru 7, at the David L. Carrasco Job Corps Center, in
El Paso, Texas. These buildings, although individually identified, are
part of a single two-story complex consisting of dormitory rooms,
classroom and office spaces. The upgrade includes the replacement of
all air conditioning equipment, ie. Chillers, pumps, fan coil units and
associated piping ductwork and electrical work. New heating system will
be upgraded by the addition of gas fired hot water boiler. The upgrade
also includes the addition of a new make up air system. The entire
facility is occupied and the demolition and upgrading will be phased
and coordinated with the center operator. The estimated cost range is
$500,000 to $1,000,000. Plans and Specifications shall be available on
or about November 8, 1999 from the Architect/Engineering firm of
Alvidrez Associates, Inc., 1414 North Oregon, El Paso, Texas 79902.

accepted. It is emphasized that requests for Plans and Specifications
should be directed ONLY to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper
handling of requests. Requests must be in writing. Plans and
Specifications will be made available for pick-up at the A/E's office.
Any additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid and
COD requests will not be accepted. Requests will be answered on a
first-come, first serve basis until the initial supplies are exhausted.
For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting
Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee
shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents
plus shipping charge (if applicable) based on the individual request
will be required in order to obtain the IFB Documents. Pre-bid
conference is scheduled for November 18, 1999, at 1:00 P.M. local time
at the David L. Carrasco Job Corps Center. Bid opening date is
December 9, 1999, at 2:00 P.M. at the Architect/Engineering office
mentioned above. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1711.
