The work of this project includes all labor, materials, equipment and appurtenances necessary to reconstruct/rehabilitate the Loomis Museum Parking Lot and Plaza at Lassen Volcanic National Park located in Shasta and Tehama Counties, near Mineral, CA. All work will be in accordance with specifications and plans provided and will include: constructing a 35 car/4 RV/bus parking area; paving plaza; miscellaneous items of work such as site clearing, grading and preparation; installation of a culvert, trench drain and fire hyrdant; concrete foundation work; stone curb walls, seatwalls and retaining walls; and miscellaneous paving work and site furnishings. The total project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The project site is located at the 6000' elevation and is subject to variable weather. Roads are generally closed from November 15 to June 1. A site tour will be conducted prior to receipt of proposals and work will begin in the spring/summer of 2000 with completion required within 90 days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The solicitation response date is approximate and will be 30 days after issuance of the formal Request for Proposal. Selection of award will be based on the greatest value to the government after considering costs and factors other than cost as set forth in the solicitation (RFP).
