The booster air compressor required for this application must have the
following physical characteristics and functions to meet the
government's minimum needs. Booster compressor must convert the input
air to discharge air having a pressure of at least 800 psi on a
continual basis. Booster compressor must be mounted on a heavy-duty
skid, with lifting eye and forklift pockets and have a dry weight of
less than 6000 pounds. The unit must be a a compact design, such that
it can be carried by a medium-size truck or trailer. A towable,
trailer-mounted option should be offered in the bid. Booster compressor
unit shall be equipped with the following: Two-stage air cleaner,
full-flow oil filter, fuel filter, fuel-water separator, air moisture
separator, air pre-cooler and after-cooler, safety shutdowns: low
engine oil pressure, high-coolant temperature, oil cooler temperature,
and air high-discharge temperature, safety relief valves for inlet and
discharge air, bypass unloading valve, fan and belt guard. Posted
