A -- SUSTAINMENT ENGINEERING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SAIP RESIDUAL SYSTEMS DUE 102999 POC LTC Steve Lopez, 703-428-8823 The government intends to award a follow-on contract to Northop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Sensors & Systems Division, Linthicum Heights, Maryland for Sustainment Engineering Improvements to the Semi-Automated Imagery Intelligence Processing (SAIP) system developed as a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency sponsored Advanced Concepts Technology Demonstration (ACTD)Project . This contract will continue efforts that were begun, but not completed during the ACTD. The knowledge of the complex SAIP design is resident within Northrop Grumman engineers but not in the form of detailed documentation that would be required for any other contractor to work on the system.
