606-253-8882 The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to negotiate a Firm
Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity contract for Architect and Engineering
services in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The services required will include
development of a plan of action, contract documents, bidding, as built
drawings and construction administration services. The design firm
will also be responsible for the production of drawings and
specifications suitable for competitive bidding and to include
certification for life safety, state adopted building codes and seismic
safety UFAS. Consideration for selection will be based on the following
evaluation criteria: 1) Firm capacity and capability (20%), 2) Proposed
project team and organization (40%), 3)Comparable experience and
performance (30%), 4) Knowledge of locality (5%), 5) Proximity to
project (5%). Estimated time of performance is one year from date of
award, with a four year option. Firms desiring consideration shall
submit the appropriate data including the Standard Forms 254 and 255
within 30 calender days of the date of publication of this synopsis.
Applicant response to the above listed criterea via the use of the SF
254 and 255 as well as submittal of any supplemental data will form the
basis of the initial evaluation of qualifications. The data must be
conclusive and should address the specific categories listed.
Consideration will be limited to firms having an existing active office
located in one of the Mid-Atlantic Region states. The Mid-Atlantic
states include WV, OH, KY, MI, NC, TN, VA, MD, IN. The firm and major
consultants must be licensed in one of the Mid-Atlanitic states. The
estimated range for these services will range from $60,000.00 to
$600,000.00. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business
concerns. This is not a Request for Proposal. All responses to this
