The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Morgantown, WV plans to purchase a one year field service agreement from TSI, Incorporated for maintenance of TSI Automated Filter Testers owned by NIOSH. The model numbers are 8130, (2) each, 8110, (3) each, and 8122 (2) each. The service agreement includes three routine maintenance trips and costs for replacement of photometers, pressure transducers, flowmeters, filters, tubing and O-rings, as needed. A service agreement is essential to maintain the primary testing equipment presently being utilized under the NIOSH Certification Program for testing of particulate filters and respirators under 42 CFR 84. TSI controls copyrights, patent rights, trade secrets, technical data, and proprietary information such as schematic diagrams and calibration data which are essential for troubleshooting and repair of these instruments. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with the TSI, Incorporated, St Paul, MN. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Organizations may respond within 10 days after publication of this notice and demonstrate that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements.
