E-MAIL: George Robertson, NONE. This is Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 00Q003 from the U.S. Secret Service Procurement Division. This is a combined synopsis solicitation of the requirement per FAR Part 12 requirements as of FAC 97-13; quotations are requested and a written Request for Quotation will not be issued. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7349; the size standard is $12.0 million. Award will be made to the lowest price quotation from a responsible quoter whose quotation conforms to the requirements herein. The U.S. Secret Service, Administrative Operations Division, Property Management Branch, Supply and Labor Section, has a requirement for the pickup and off-site destruction of sensitive waste. The period of performance is from date of purchase order award through September 30, 2000. Frequency of pickup -- Once per week -- Thursday (between the hours of 8:00 am -- 12 Noon) except for Federal Holidays, If the Thursday falls on a Federal Holiday, pickup date shall be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). Collection locations: Six (6) locations in Northwest Washington, DC (to be provided at award) and the Rowley Training Center at 9200 Powder Mill Road, Laurel, MD. Government responsibilities -- 1) Place sensitive waste in burn bags, 2) Seal burn bags via staples and/or tape, 3), Provide escort at each collection location; USSS representative will also witness destruction. Contractor Responsibilities: 1) Contractor shall provide canvas carts, 2) Contractor shall be responsible for pickup from multiple locations within the above-listed collection locations, 3) Upon pickup, the contractor shall remove all items to the contractor's facility, for lawful burning and lawful disposal of any residue. The Government reserves the right to verify, prior to award, that the contractor is in compliance with all Federal, state and/or local ordinances for the destruction of waste as specified herein. Government personnel shall witness the destruction. 4) The contractor shall provide an audit trail and certificate of destruction. Security Clearances: Contractor personnel proposed to work under this contract shall be subject to and successfully pass Police background investigations prior to being admitted to nay of the above-listed facilities. The contractor shall, prior to commencement of work, submit an executed SSF3237 (12/91), U.S. Secret Service Contractor Access Form(s) to the COTR (address to be provided upon selection for award). A price per pound for all services is the anticipated pricing; award will be for a not-to-exceed amount under the quoted rate per pound.
