Announcement No. 209670, dated June 10, 1998. The Air Force Space and
Missile Systems Center Directorate of Acquisition Contract Support
(SMC/AXC) is planning to exercise Option CLIN 0002, on Contract
F04701-98-C-0014, Galaxy Scientific Corporation (Galaxy), in the amount
of $857,998.00. The period of performance is 01 Dec 99 through 30 Nov
00. The basic, one-year contract was synopsized and awarded as a
sole-source, small business set aside acquisition, pursuant to FAR
6.302-1. The option effort will require extensive knowledge of the
MILSATCOM program and of the projects currently being performed in
support of their mission. The option exercise action is being

for the option effort, which shall be considered by the Air Force. The
option consists of the following effort: (1) Systems engineering for
MILSATCOM Medium Data Rate (MDR) integration with the Defense
information systems Network (DISN); (2) Baseband engineering support
including analysis of emerging SATCOM tactical baseband configurations;
(3) Software Tools Development; and (4) Integrated Logistics Support
and Configuration Management. After the option CLIN period of
performance has expired, the services provided under the option CLIN
are subject to an additional Option to Extend Services provision, which
may or may not be exercised and shall not exceed four months (six
months for the entire contract), pursuant to FAR 52.217-8. The
points-of-contact for the contract action are; (1) Contracting Officer,
