New stainless steel dewatering screens shall be shop fabricated, delivered to the Ice Harbor Dam project site, and installed in the fish bypass channel in the powerhouse structure. The existing dewatering screens shall be removed before installing the new screens. The screens are of all stainless steel construction. The screens are flat panel wedge wire screens of all welded construction. Screen perimeter frame members are stainless steel bars welded to the wedge wire screen panels. Twenty six screens of various sizes ranging from 8 feet by 4 feet to 6 feet by 2.5 feet are required. Also, the screen cleaner must be modified by fabrication of new steel truck assemblies. Truck assemblies are steel channels (C7x14.75), plates, and bars with flangeless steel wheels (4.5 inch diameter). Two trucks approximately 9 feet long with four wheels on each end are required. The new truck assemblies are to be installed and the screen cleaner rails are to be realigned. The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000.
