Normally closed explosively actuated valve assembly 2. 1/4" tubing size 3. Body material for item 1 shall be 304L stainless steel 4. Body material for item 2 shall be 6AL4V titanium per MIL-T-9047 5. Thermal operating range from -40 degrees F to +120 degrees F 6. Operating pressure 4,000 psia minimum 7. Proof pressure 6,000 psia minimum 8. Burst pressure 8,400 psia minimum 9. Must incorporate a redundant metal to metal interface fit on moving ram to prevent combustion blow-by into valve medium 10. Must use a hermetically sealed explosive charge 11. Must weigh less than 130 grams 12. To prevent initiator ejection pyrovalve must not be designed with initiators facing each other 13. Pyrovalves must be previously qualified for space application 14. Quantity of 11 each of item one shall be manufactured, one of which is to be tested for proper function at the manufacturer and the remaining ten each are to be delivered when proper function is achieved 15. Quantity of one each of item 2 is to be delivered This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3491 and 500, respectively, The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 3-134222 is on or about 8-12-99 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 8-27-99. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
