SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (1) Bechtel Nevada Corporation is seeking input for the development of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of leased Desktop computers, Laptop computers, and servers. Computers will be delivered and maintained in Las Vegas, NV; Nevada Test Site (approximately 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas); Santa Barbara, Ca; Los Alamos, NM; and Washington, DC. (2)We welcome innovative ideas and solutions. These may include provision for a Lease/Purchase Option, Trade-in, Purchase, Lease to Ownership, Financing Options (financial arrangements are not subject to FAR), or Other Combinations. (8)Current Minimum Software Requirements MS Windows 98 MS Office 97 Standard Version (Professional version is optional and will be requested as necessary by BN). Software requirements will include the following supplier provided services: Supplier will be required to install all software. Supplier will be responsible for maintaining all records of licenses installed on leased equipment. Supplier will be responsible to migrate legacy data from existing computers to new computers to include production of a record of what was moved. Supplier must sanitize hard disk of existing computer. Supplier most provide three year labor and parts warranty against defects for all components. Refurbished or prototype equipment will not be acceptable. Supplier shall be solely responsible for maintaining, tracking and managing the Microsoft Office licenses. (9) Servers Required Specifications will be provided at RFP stage, Please include all manufacturers you represent and are able to technically support. Supplier shall be solely responsible for maintaining and tracking the hardware inventory. Supplier will provided monthly reports including (at a minimum) the following: computer identification number, date installation completed, type of computer, location by room, user name. (10)The period of performance will be established by the RFP, however, the phase in period must begin no later than 03/31/2000. (11)Comments on a parts and labor warranty including the warranty period are solicited. (12)Supplier will be required to staff a help desk. Comments concerning coordination and warranty response time are solicited. (13)Comments on periodic updating of standard configurations for desktop, laptop, and servers are solicited.
