The Administration for Native Americans through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center has a requirement for provide technical assistance to current and prospective grantee organizations in Region V Pacific. Region V is limited to all eligible organizations and entities in Hawaii, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Palau and American Samoa. Section 804 of the Native American Programs Act of 1974, P.L. 93-644, as amended, (the Act), authorizes training and technical assistance to public and nonprofit private agencies in planning, developing, conducting, and administering projects under the Act. The Administration for Native Americans (ANA) is interested in assisting tribes, Native American organizations, Alaskan Native villages, Alaskan Native corporations, and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander organizations eligible for funding under Section 803 of the Act to identify, develop, implement, and administer their own community-based goals and strategies for governance and for social and economic development. Federal assistance provided through ANA grants for this purpose are identified as Social and Economic Development Strategies (SEDS) program grants. The majority of ANA grants are for the SEDS program. ANA also administers other competitive grant programs which promote the goal of economic and social self-sufficiency for American Indians, Native Hawaiians, other Native American Pacific Islanders (including American Samoan Natives), and Alaska Natives. Requests for the RFP package must be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer and referencing RFP 282-00-0002.
