E-MAIL: Jack McDonough, jmcdon@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC is seeking potential sources who produce an Analog Ballistic Calculator to be used with the M24 Sniper Weapon. The calculator shall be a non-electronic, waterproof devise. The devise shall assist in determining the target range to within five meters/yards given the actual target sixe and the target size in mils when observing the target through the scope of the rifle. It is desired for this devise to provide feedback relative to the necessary scope adjustments to engage targets once the range is determined. The devise shall be accompanied by detailed instructions for estimating range to the target, wind draft corrections, and uphill/downhill shots.
