is scheduled to issue on October 13, 1999. This solicitation is
re-issued to incorporate the following Multiple Award Schedules: FSC
Group 68, Part VI, Section B-Disinfectants, Deodorants, Toilet
Bowl/Germicidal Cleaners, Sanitizers and Insect Repellents; FSC 68,
Part I, Section A-Road Stabilization/Ice Melting Chemical, Aircraft
Deicers and Water Conditioning Salts; FSC 68, Part V, Section A-Water
Purification Chemicals; FSC 68, Part V, Sections B and C-Water
Treatment Chemicals for Heating and Cooling Systems and Boiler Fuel Oil
Additives; and FSC 68, Part III, Section D-Propane(in bulk and
cylinders). This solicitation is a standing solicitation for Federal
Supply Schedule FSC Group 68, Part VI, Section B. This solicitation
will remain in effect unless amended and/or replaced by an updated
solicitation. There is no closing date for receipt of offers;
therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time during
the life of this solicitation. Effective immediately, this Federal
Supply Schedule will no longer have a prescribed beginning and ending
date. The schedule period will be continuous. In addition the Multiple
Award Schedule solicitation will become "standing" opportunities for
new offers. This means that new offers may be forwarded to the
Contracting Officers, at the address above, at any time. Contracts
awarded under this solicitation will commence on the first day of the
month following the date of award and end five years from that date,
unless further extended pursuant to any Option to Extend the Term of
the Contract, or canceled sooner. FSC 6810, 6830, 6840, and
6850,Standard Commercial Products; Multiple Award Schedule; Fixed-Price
with Economic Price Adjustment; Indefinte Delivery-Indefinite Quantity
contracts for chemicals and chemical products. New features are
worldwide coverage, mandatory acceptance of Government credit card,
opportunity to introduce new products and services, and incorporation
of 2000 compliance (Y2K) clause and incorporation of the Service
Contract Act. This solicitation has a new format in accordance with
Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. To assist customer
agencies to determine when they should seek a price decrease, a level
called the maximum order will be established under each contract. When
an agency order exceeds this amount, it is recommended that the agency
contact the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors will not be
obligated to accept these orders in accordance with FAR 52.216-19.
UNDER THIS SOLICITATION, OFFERS WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED FOR BRANDS
IDENTICAL TO THOSE CURRENTLY AWARDED. See Note 12(Trade Agreements)
