A -- SCIENTIFIC, ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (SETA) SUPPORT SOL DNA001-93-C-0138 POC Carol J. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to issue a modification to Logicon R&D Associates(RDA's)existing contract DNA001-93-C-0138, extending the contract through 30 June 2000 to provide support for continuing Scientific Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) during this period. Under the contract modification RDA will continue to provide critical Scientific Engineering and Technical Assistance to major mission areas while internal fine-tuning of staffing and mission realignments is completed in accordance with recent consolidation of the Defense Special Weapons Agency into the new DTRA. The extension will provide continued support during this time of transition and change in areas such as the Counterproliferation Program, Nuclear Support and Operations, Force Protection, etc. Based on RDA's exceptional technical expertise and responsiveness and their broad base of subcontractors and consultants, DTRA believes RDA is the only contractor capable of providing ongoing programmatic support functions and meeting varied and complex technical requirements within time and budgetary constraints. See Note 22. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform this requirement. A follow-on competitive award is anticipated for support beginning 1 July 2000, and a separate CBD notice and solicitation will be forthcoming.
