Proposals are solicited for RFP No. FJ5895/WLM, Metropolitan Washington Regional Bus Study, to develop a comprehensive, coordinated bus service plan for Metrobus and local government bus service operations which makes the present transit system more effective, responds to growth and changing travel patterns, and identifies facility requirements to support future bus service. Contract duration is not-to-exceed 24 months. Solicitation was issued October 8, 1999. Experience in development of regional bus studies of an ongoing facility is desirable. The following selection criteria will be applicable: (1) demonstrated experience in development of required technical approach to facilitate the study; (2) demonstrated experience and technical expertise in development of project management plan to complete work within the scheduled performance period; (3) demonstrated complete understanding of project so as to address changing development issues; (4) past performance on contracts with transit authorities and other entities for consultant work of the nature required under this contract; (5) knowledge of the overall Metro transit system including all aspects of the region's bus system; (6) demonstrated ability to offer innovative study concepts and recommendations to accomplish the intent of the study. Consultant shall comply with E. O. No. 11246 and DBE participation.
