The Naval Construction Battalion Center is soliciting request for quotations to repair, sandblast and repaint fifteen (15) 8' x 8' x 6 1/2' tricon containers. The containers will be required to be brought back to original condition in accordance in MIL-C-28689B (YD). Some containers have built in cabinets and the others are completely empty. The ones with cabinets, the cabinets will also be required to be repairs and required. The Naval Construction Battalion Center will issue RFQ on or about 5 November 1999 to all contractors responding to this announcement. A site visit will be held on or about 23 November 99 for contractors to review each container to be refurished. More information and a firm date of the site visit will be contained in the RFQ. The successful contractor will be responsible for the pick-up and return of the containers to the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS. All repairs must be completed within 180 days after pick-up of the equipment.
