The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies to provide CY 00 system integration support to the USN during the flight test phase of the NP2000 Integration Program. Hamilton Standard is the designer, developer and manufacturer of the NP2000 E-2C propeller, the replacement to the current Hamilton Standard 54460 propeller on the E-2C aircraft. Hamilton Standard has four decades investment in the design, development, production and maintenance of the E-2C propellers. Hamilton Standard is the only source capable of providing NP 2000 systems integration support based on technical knowledge and proprietary data relevant to the design and performance characteristics of the NP2000 propeller.
