Project, Fort Knox, Hardin County, Kentucky has an estimated price
range of between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00, SIC Code 1629 and NAICS
Code of 23499. Work consists of approximately 550 linear feet of eroded
streambank along Cedar Creek on the Cedar Creek Tank Training Range on
Fort Knox. Items of work will include soil bioengineering practices
and conventional streambank stabilization materials in order to provide
streambanks and promote fish and wildlife habitat. Bioengineering
practices include the cutting and planting (staking) of willow
cuttings. Conventional stabilization practices shall include bank
shaping, placement of rock riprap (approx. 635 tons), construction and
installation of wire mesh gabions (approximately 100 cubic yards),
geotextile (approximately 1,000 square yards); installation of
synthetic erosion control blanket (approximately 550 square yards),
seeding and mulching (approximately 1.0 acre); mobilization and
demobilization (1 job); channel clearing and shaping (approx. 550
linear feet); pollution control (subsidiary); removal of water
(subsidiary); excavation (subsidiary); and earthfill (subsidiary).
Performance time will begin on or about January 1, 2000 and Contractor
will have 112 calendar days to complete all items of work, including
demobilization and clean-up. Performance time includes anticipated
weather-related non-work days. Contractor will be permitted to work a
maximum of 8-hour days, 5 days per week. Pre-bid conference and site
showing will be conducted on Tuesday, November 2, 1999, at 10:00 a.m.
