conducting a market survey to determine potential sources for the
AN/PSC-5 (Spitfire) terminal. Requirements for this radio include the
following: 1)DAMA Certification by Joint Interoperability Test Center
(JITC), 2) Frequency Range 30-400MHz, 3) Cubic Dimensions less than 450
Cubic inches including battery box, 4) Capable of interoperating with
KL-43C, AN/PSC-2 and OA-8990, 5) Provide retransmission capability for
both SINCGARS and Spitfire radios and 6) Constant keydown for 1 hour
with a minimum of 18 Watts while operating from Primary batteries
(BA-5590's) within the range of 21 to 28 VDC. Details of these and the
complete set of requirements are contained in SPC-A3159887, the
Statement of Work and Army Contract DAAB07-94-D-A010 which formally
incorporates the contractor's proposal. Potential offerors who believe
they are capable of meeting the technical and sustainment requirements
of the AN/PSC-5 shall provide documentation on their products and
capabilities that substantiate their ability to fulfill these
requirements. Responses are due no later than 22 October 1999 and
