This is a potential development and licensing opportunity with BBWI, the prime operating contractor of the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). The Real-Time Neutron/Gamma dosimeter is a palm size portable dosimeter for quantitatively monitoring neutrons and gamma rays simultaneously and in real time. Using a LCD display and operating on AA batteries, the dosimeter can be used in many applications, such as personnel monitoring at nuclear power plants, monitoring spent fuel storage, special nuclear materials, and detecting low-level neutrons in very high gamma-ray fields. The dosimeter detects and displays exposure to both gamma and neutron particles at the same time and in real time. The Real-Time Neutron/Gamma dosimeter has been successfully operating. BBWI is seeking a written indication of interest from industry partners interested in entering into a license agreement for the purpose of building and commercializing this technology.
