The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to enter into a sole source contract with Detroit Diesel, 515 11th street SE, Canton, OH 44707-3811 for the support of the MTU and MK V boat engines. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts will be procured to support engine/propulsion systems used on the MK V Special Operations Craft (SOC) (engines and waterjet). Procurement of OEM parts is required to maintain the warranty status of the supported systems. These systems are commercial items originally produced by and under warranty by these manufacturers. The manufacturer's commercial parts catalogs will serve as the basic parts list that may be purchased under the resultant contracts. Commercial item contracts are anticipated.
