Mosley, 718-584-9000, ext. 4359 Provide testing during construction as specified in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Reegulations (VAAR) specifications Section 01410 "Testing Laboratory Services" to verify the adequacy of the contractor's quality control for compliance with the requirements of contract documents. The minimum qualifications for the testing laboratory are as follows; a. Principals of the testing laboratory must be registered professional engineers with not less than five years experience in the types of testing under this contract. b. Each person in charge of laboratory testing, field testing, and inspection must have not less than one year full ltime experience in the duties performed under this contract. Although it is required that the principals of the firms be registred, personel who are not registered may perform most of the work. The contract will be for a lump sum based on the estimated number of tests and days of field testing. Since it is not possible to make a precise determination, in advance, of the number of tests and inspection periods that may be required, unit prices will be required to be used in ading to or deducting from the contract amount by modification.
