NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for Antenna Refurbishment which will include disassembly of the positioner, paint stripping, metal treatment, priming, and application of a weather-resistant paint coat. It will also include installation of new parts for all part replacements, reassembly, and verification of positioner operation. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3663 and 750 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-14. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about November 8, 1999 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about December 06, 1999. A site visit will be held on or about November 16, 1999.
