The Library of Congress intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to renew a subscription with NewBank, Inc. for the continued use and access of their database by Antilles Consolidated School System, Office of Financial Services, Roosevelt Roads, PR.(ACSS).NewsBank provides: CD Business which allows access to full text articles on issues and events of regional, national, or international importance with an emphasis on news analysis, background information, and statistics. The CD-ROM also contains a Spanish language module. Business NewsBank provides full text and verbatim news releases from business journals, newspapers, and national and international wire services. Information is available on small and privately held companies and subsidiaries of larger organizations. StatBank is a comprehensive, current statistical database available on CD-ROM. It features statistics and facts on countries of the world. Facts, figures, and historical data are gathered from unpublished sources, census reports, and the "Statistical Abstract of the United States." Noticias En Espanol is a Spanish language CD-ROM of selected full text articles with a special emphasis on news reports covering key issues and events in Latin America and South America. The CD-ROM is updated monthly, and backfile years are on a seperate disc with annual updates. NewsFile Collection contains full text articles from over 500 newspapers and other sources from around the world which provides perspectives on regional, national and internationl issues and events as well as coverage of film and television, literature, the fine arts, architecture and the performing arts. Also available is the Washington Post(current and backfile) and USA TODAY(current and backfile) on CD. United Nations Documents available on micro-fiche with CD-rom indices that are a comprehensive collection of UN documents that cover the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Secretariat, and the International Court of Justice. Science Source, a CD that contains a comprehensive Current Science issues database covering over 225 sources in digest form. Areas covered are Life, Physical, Earth and Applied Sciences.
