The work consists of Rental of Equipment and Operators to perform maintenance dredging in navigation channels along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwest Florida. The majority of the work is intended to be Mobile Harbor, however work may be required at Pascagoula, Gulfport, Pensacola and/or Panama City Harbors. Rental of Dredge work consists of the removal and satisfactory disposal of all material lying above the plane of -52 feet (or as directed), MLLW, over the bottom widths, and applicable side slopes, at specific work location(s) within the specified dredging limits of this contract. All material will be transported and deposited into the Gulf Open Water D/A as specified. The Rental Dredge Plant work will consist of furnishing and operating a hopper dredge with pump discharge of not less than 24 inch diameter nor more than 33.5 inch diameter complete with all necessary materials, supplies, labor, and transportation including fuel, power, and water for excavation operations as specified. Estimated cost of work is between $ 1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bid documents are available on or about 15 November 1999. No Cost. Unrestricted. SIC 1629.
