DTCG88-00-Q-623109 FABRICATE/INSTALL FLOATING DOCK EXTENSION AND PILES
AT CG STATION GRAYS HARBOR, WESTPORT, WA. Only written requests for
solicitations will be accepted. Furnish all labor material and
equipment necessary to fabricate and install an 8' long by 8' wide
concrete floating dock extension to the existing "D" floating dock
inside the covered moorings including cleats, bumpers, pile guides,
cathodic protection system and piles. Fabricate and install a new
stainless steel roller guide for the "D" dock gangway. Performance
period is 60 days. All in water work must be completed in compliance
with Washington State Work Window which closes February 28th. Work
includes, but is not limited to: A) New Extension Dock: Cut back
existing "D" dock walers: 4' inner and 8' outer. Cut and install new
walers to connect new floating dock extension to the existing floating
dock. New extension dock shall be outfitted with cleats, fenders, and
wrap around pile guides. B) Guide Piles: Install two new 14"
diametersteel guide piles, with pile bracing and cathodic protection
for floating dock extension. C) Gangway Roller Guides: 1. Remove and
dispose of existing "D" dock gangway roller guides. 2. Install new
gangway roller guides on dock, consisting of two galvanized steel
angles. D) Work Sequence: Contractor shall coordinate work to minimize
down time of unit's vessels and interference with concurrent work
being conducted at Station Grays Harbor. Drawings and specifications
can be purchased on a first come first served basis, at the rate of
$15.00. Requests will be accepted by mail only, and must include
payment in the applicable amount by Cashier's Check, Money Order or
Company Check, made payable to the U.S. COAST GUARD. Personal Checks

UTILIZED ON MAILINGS OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. No refunds will be
made and materials need not be returned. If project is cancelled or no
award is made, cost of plans and specifications will be refunded only
on written request. Estimated Range is $25,000 and $100,000. The
performance period is 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to
Proceed. The procurement is subject to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small
business participation. The applicable SIC code is 1629. Small business
size standard is $17.0 million. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION
BEING SOLICITED AND ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND.

Business Utilization) has programs to assist minority, women owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. Anticipated bid issue date is 02 November 1999,
