Blanton, AIR-2.4.2.5.2 (301)757-6984 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source purchase order to Vision Systems International (VSI) of San Jose, CA, for a F-18 aircraft flight demonstration of Lite Eye helmet mounted display integrated with a previously fielded F-14 display processor. This is a commercial off-the-shelf technology. This effort will also include aircraft kit definition, flight worthiness evaluation, cockpit tracker mapping, field integration, and the flight demonstration. VSI is the only designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the required technology and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time.
