61 -- MOTOR UNITS SOL N68335-00-R-0145 POC Bill Zeiger 732-323-5373 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure thirty-one motor units part number 71-40891-4 and five motor units part number 55-4782-6. The motor units are electronically driven mechanisms complete with over-travel switches, mechanical position indicators, and a means of manual operation. The motor specifications and control drawings are export controlled and provided with the solicitation. Export controlled documents require contractor certification by the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) before release. The DLSC certification must accompany any request for solicitation. All non-conforming requests cannot be filled and will be discarded without action. The contract will be a firm fixed price, and will be awarded on "Lowest Cost Technically Acceptable Basis." First article is required from all contractors that have not previously supplied the specific parts. In addition, first article is due thirty days after contract award. The inspection /acceptance of the first article will occur at source. Delivery of the first production units is expected thirty days after acceptance of first article. All five-production units for part number 55-4782-6 must be delivered the first month. A staggered delivery schedule is required for part number 71-40891-4, which consist of six production units delivered per month. All production units are FOB Destination; Lakehurst, NJ. The inspection / acceptance of production units will occur at the source. In addition, the packing / packaging will be best commercial practice.
