65 -- DIAGNOSTIC REAGENTS SOL N010003 DUE 120699 POC Carolyn Sentz, Contracting Officer/Guy Baratte, Purchasing Agent, (301) 402-2282 The National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases intends to negotiate a sole-source simplified acquisition with Abbott Laboratories of Chicago, IL for daignostic reagents and enzyme immunoassay kits. These items will be used to perform immunological tests to detect, analyze and quantify markers of hepatitis and human immunodeficiency virus on a wide variety of specimens. Tests performed include Hepatitis A, B,C,d and Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This function has operated for over twenty years to support the efforts of many projects within the Hepatitis Viruses Section of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, NIAID, and throughout this tenure, assays have been performed using the same relative test kits and reagents.
