The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period on or more times at the discretion of the government. The total shall not exceed 5 years. ADDITIONAL NOTES: This solicitation is being issued for vehicle covers based on a Government Technical Data Package. Customarily all offers submitted should be based on the referenced package. However, any offeror is encouraged to submit a commercial item offer in response to this solicitation. The technical acceptability of such offers will be determined by the Engineering Support Activity (ESA) for these covers. Accordingly, the offeror will need to forward a complete data package to Mr. Jim Doherty, DLA Engineering Support Team Leader, United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, MI 48397-5000, for approval. In order to insure that customer needs are completely satisfied, the offeror will need to submit evidence of ESA approval with the offer prior to the closing date of this solicitation.
