The work to be performed consists of the following: (a) Furnish and install four excitation systems consisting of power transformers, fuses, disconnect switches, breakers, current and potential transformers, transducers, full-wave redundant rectifier bridges, field flashing circuits, field discharge circuits, and redundant digitally controlled automatic voltage regulators; (b) remove four existing exciter field control assemblies; (c) modify four existing rotating exciters; (d) furnish drawings and data; and (e) conduct training sessions to Government personnel on the operation and maintenance of the new excitation equipment. The equipment will be installed at the Yellowtail Powerplant located in Bighorn which is on the Big Horn River, Big Horn County about 43 miles south-west of Hardin, Montana. The bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for January 11, 2000, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets may be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $12.00 each.
